I am a 43 year old male who has suffered from ED in the past. I used Viagra for the first time recently and I must say that I (and she as well!) was quite impressed. Here is my experience and thoughts:
I decided to try a 50mg dosage (100 mg split), which I took about an hour after dinner (I had not eaten all day since breakfast). About a half hour after I took it and also before we could start getting intimate (had to get the kids to bed!), I started feeling a little flush in the face, a slight headache (even though I took 2 Advil a couple hours earlier in anticipation of getting a headache) and I also noticed that blue colors were enhanced. I did extensive research on the possible side affects, so none of this surprised me nor was I overly bothered them.
Once we began being intimate, I had no problems at all getting and keeping a very healthy erection, of which the likes she nor I have not seen in quite some time. We enjoyed the benefits of Viagra for a solid 3+ hours! As time past, I did not notice the side affects nearly as much as I did just a half hour or so after taking it, but my erection kept going strong. But, that could have been because I was busy doing and thinking of other things!!?? :-) Someone mentioned sensitivity earlier in this NG...I felt as sensitive as I usually do. My orgasm, when it finally came (I held back a few times purposely), was very intense as is pretty normal when I had not had sex in a while. Much to my surprise, I was even able to get and maintain an erection the next morning for quite a while, although it was not quite as easy as it had been the night before. For the rest of the day after taking it, I did experience just a small bit of indigestion and a very mild headache, but the day after that I felt fine.
All in all, it was a very positive experience, with the positives outweighing net negatives by far, and I am looking forward to the next time!! - Norm A truly remarkable drug
Last week I had my first Viagra experience. I am a 49 year old male who, for the last 5 or so years, has had trouble maintaining an erection. I am in excellent health with no problems. I obtained my prescription for 100mg but choose to start at 50mg. Around 30 minutes after I noticed a flush feeling in my face and some very slight congestion. No headache or blue tinge experience. Let me tell you, this stuff works. At least for me I had no trouble getting or maintaining my erection. The difference was so dramatic that I was truly astounded. I have not been able to have sex like that for many years consequently I am very happy this aspect of my life has returned. I have used it four times since, all with similar effects. I notice the onset faster on an empty stomach and I have not tried it with alcohol. My dosage has remained at 50mg seeing that this dosage has been so successful. The other effect I have noticed is that for the first time since I was in my early twenties, I can have sex twice in one night. Viagra is truly a remarkable drug. Like a light switch turned on
I went to see my urologist a few weeks back to finally take care of this "problem" that I have been experiencing with non-existent and VERY temporary erections. I had been having some problems with that for a few years at least, but having been married at the time, I had the ability to work around it sometimes and the pressure to do something was off. Now that I am separated, the problem has become critical! Trying to make love to a woman with this "thing" in the front of my mind 24 by 7 is a recipe for disaster. Well, after the last failed attempt, I decided enough is enough. So, off to the doctor I go, get the full spectrum of tests and discover that nothing is wrong with me test-wise. The nurse feels that my blood workup and the hormone results were all perfectly normal for me. My urologist agreed and felt I should try Viagra as an experiment to make sure that the plumbing was working as it should be (my interpretation). Well...

After taking it the first time on an empty stomach and with a glass of fresh grapefruit juice as a chaser (thanks guys!), it went to work within 15 minutes! I lasted the first time a good 2.5 to 3 hours! Unbelievable and no side effects at all! Okay. So I thought that maybe this was an anomaly. Next night, tried again with the same process and, lo and behold, about 15 minutes later, baa daa bing! Another 2 to 3 hours worth of good, hard sex. I really thought that I had died and gone to heaven! Well, the next time went very well WITHOUT the Viagra assist! Maybe residue?
I did notice that having an orgasm during the initial 1 to 2 hours was not as easy as I thought, so I just took it nice and easy and enjoyed the good feelings that it produced. The next time we did it
(same night) went like an explosion! Not sure if the Viagra held back the orgasmic response or not, but it sure felt that way. However, this is NOT a complaint! - Larry
